The school of Electrical Information and Engineering is one with science and industry integrated. The school aims at training high-level professionals of engineering with systematic theoretical and practical knowledge of electronics, information technology, communication technology and relevant computer application technology. These professionals will be able to engage in research and development, design and application of a wide variety of electrical equipment and information systems in the electrical information industry and other technical departments. Integrating electronics and information engineering, this program places emphasis on training students’ basic theory and professional skills, and on improving their overall qualities, especially in cultivating their creative ability. The school has a number of 1,931 studens.
The electric experiment center of the school, which is a provincial-level experimential teaching demonstration center, has 36 laboratoryies, providing students with excellent equipment for study and activities.
The department offers study programs at 2 levels:
1. Undergraduate programs: electrical engineering and its automation, electronic science and technology.
2. Three-year programs: Electrical automation technology, communication technology, and applied electrical technology.
The department has a staff of 50 teachers, including 17 professors and associate processors, 36 of the teachers hold masters or doctorate degrees, 2 senior engineers and 1 senior experimentalist.
